The Life & Breath Foundation’s board is compromised of community leaders with expertise in a wide range of areas, including medicine, patient advocacy, education, finance, law, fund development, and business management.

Board of Directors

  • Sean Hull, Founder

    Sean R. Hull leads the Life and Breath Foundation. Sean’s mother passed away in 1996 at the age of 59 due to her complications with sarcoidosis. Through his dedicated efforts as Founder and President, the foundation has been able to successfully create the resources for patients to be able to manage their sarcoidosis journey.

  • Saul Kuciauskas

    Saul Kuciauskas currently serves as a Principal with the Health Plan Advisory Group at WithumSmith+Brown, headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey. With the firm being nationally ranked for its exceptional healthcare advisory and public accounting services on a local-to-global scale, Saul contributes his expertise from the Baltimore, Maryland location.

  • Dr. Irina Koyfman

    Dr. Koyfman is an accomplished clinician with more than 20 years of executive experience. Her professional focal points include an understanding of strategy, health care insurance, business development & operations, care coordination, and evidence-based quality care.

  • Dr. Richard Harris

    Dr. Richard Harris is a board-certified internal medicine physician and pharmacist. Dr. Harris attended the University of Texas at Austin for pharmacy school then pursued medical education at the McGovern School of Medicine in Houston.

  • Dr. Mark Lamos

    Dr. Mark Lamos is the Vice Chief of the Department oF Medicine at GBMC and the director of Complex Care at Gilchrist Greater Living/Health Partners. His medical practice focuses on patients that require coordination between primary care, specialists and other healthcare services to better manage what are usually several serious chronic, pre-existing conditions.

  • Carol Lerch

    Carol Lerch is a Realtor at Next Step Realty MD. Carol Lerch joined Next Step Realty MD in 2019 and has over 20 years experience in mortgage, trading, risk management, sales, personnel management and operations.

  • Jonathan Schochor

    Jonathan Schochor is the managing senior partner of Schochor, Federico and Staton. He is a member of several Bar Associations and has taught and lectured locally and nationally in the fields of medical negligence and trial law for medical groups and various legal organizations.

Advisory Board

  • Alex Bollman

    Alex has more than 20 years of experience as a leader and General Manager in the hospitality industry, managing several hotels in the Baltimore and Annapolis area. In 2007 Alex relocated to the west coast and began his entrepreneurial journey into Real Estate investment and management and today his portfolio extends across both coasts.

  • Luwanda Jenkins

    Luwanda Jenkins currently serves as Vice President for Partnerships and External Relations for the 1890 Universities Foundation.

    She is known best for her leadership and advocacy on behalf of Maryland’s small, minority and women owned businesses, and is credited for achieving key policy advances and record gains for diverse participation in state contracting and procurement activity during her service as Special Secretary of the Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs under Governor O’Malley.

  • Tom Crawford

    Born and raised in Baltimore, Tom Crawford has more with 25 years of corporate banking experience. At BBVA Compass Bank, Tom leads a team of bankers that consult with middle market companies on their optimal debt and treasury management structures.

  • Jim Gianiny

    Jim Gianiny has more than 30 years of operational and client engagement expertise spanning all phases of a company’s life cycle. He successfully managed two start-ups from inception through acquisition. He is also a founder and President of Veritas Solutions, Inc.

  • Frank Savarese

    Frank Savarese has over 35 years of public accounting experience. He joined the firm in 1982 and became a partner in 1987. His experience includes Management Advisory Services, Federal and State Taxation Services, Mergers and Acquisitions, Estate Planning and Start-up Companies.

  • Dr. Monisha Bhanote

    Dr. Bhanote, the founder of the Holistic Wellbeing Collective, is a quadruple board-certified physician and published author with expertise in Integrative Medicine and Anatomic/Clinical Pathology. Dr. Bhanote has additional certifications in Culinary Medicine, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Plant-Based Nutrition, and Yoga Medicine® where she applies a whole-body approach to healing.

  • Dr. Elisabeth Carr

    Dr. Elisabeth Carr is Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency as well as a practicing Pulmonary and Critical Care physician at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC). She developed a deep interest in Sarcoidosis and has been working with Sarcoidosis patients since 2001.
