Anxiety and Sarcoidosis: Common Companions

with Carl Robbins, MSEd, MS, LCPC

Carl Robbins is a psychotherapist with nearly 40 years of experience treating anxiety disorders. He is the Director of Training at The Anxiety and Stress Disorders Institute of Maryland and a clinical instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Maryland. One of his sub-specialties is health anxiety.

Carl is also a fellow traveler. He was diagnosed with sarcoidosis in 1999 and received treatment for over five years. He knows first-hand the fear and anxiety many of us face as we cope with this disease that carries so much uncertainty.
